About Us

The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Kütahya was originally established under the name Kütahya School of Administrative Sciences on October 12, 1974, as an affiliate of the Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences. Instruction officially began on December 4, 1974. On February 15, 1979, the school was transformed into the Faculty of Administrative Sciences in Kütahya.

With the enactment of Decree Law No. 41 on July 20, 1982, the institution became the Kütahya School of Administrative Sciences, and through an additional article added to Law No. 3389, it was incorporated into Anadolu University as the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Kütahya.

Finally, on July 3, 1992, it was reorganized under Dumlupınar University as the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Kütahya, and it continues its educational activities under this structure. The faculty began admitting students under the name of Dumlupınar University during the 1993–1994 academic year and graduated its first cohort at the end of the 1996–1997 academic year.

The faculty currently consists of eight departments: Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, Finance, Political Science and International Relations, Econometrics, International Trade and Finance, and Business Administration (English). As of October 2024, a total of 5,814 students are enrolled.

The duration of undergraduate education at the faculty is four years. The educational mission is to ensure that graduates can integrate with their peers at internationally comparable institutions and to cultivate students who are research-oriented, competitive, and diligent.
