Prof. Dr. Ercan TAŞKIN

Prof. Dr. Ercan Taşkın completed his undergraduate education at Anadolu University, Department of Business Administration in 1991. He then earned his master's degree in Business Administration at Kütahya Dumlupınar University between 1996 and 1998, and his Ph.D. at the same university between 1998 and 2002. Starting his academic career as a research assistant in 1995, Taşkın served as a lecturer between 1999 and 2003, an assistant professor between 2003 and 2012, and an associate professor between 2012 and 2017. He has held the title of professor since 2017. Continuing his academic studies in the Department of International Marketing, Taşkın teaches various courses at multiple levels. At the undergraduate level, he teaches courses such as General Business, Principles of Marketing, Marketing Management, and Logistics and Distribution Channels Management; at the master's and doctoral levels, he teaches Modern Marketing Theory, New Economy and Marketing, Relationship Marketing, and Marketing Strategies.

In addition to his academic career, Prof. Dr. Taşkın has held numerous administrative positions. He served as the Vice Director of Kütahya Technical Sciences Vocational School between 2002 and 2008, Vice Head of Department in 2008–2009, Director of the Continuing Education Application and Research Center in 2010–2011, Head of the Production Management and Marketing Department in 2011–2012, and Director of the Continuing Education Center in 2012. Since 2012, he has been the Head of the International Trade and Finance Department, and since 2014, the Head of the International Trade Department. In 2015, he served as the Director of Kütahya Social Sciences Vocational School and the Head of the Department of Health, Culture, and Sports. Furthermore, he has been serving as the General Coordinator of the Kütahya Dumlupınar University Continuing Education Center since 2015.

Serving as an executive in various scientific research projects, Prof. Dr. Taşkın specifically focuses on areas such as marketing, corporate identity, and student satisfaction. He currently continues his duties as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the Head of the Department of Health, Culture, and Sports at Kütahya Dumlupınar University.
